Assistant Minister: Reach Within Spiritual Center
Co-Founder: Gentleman's Closet
My name is Elijah Henry, and I am the co-founder of Gentleman's Closet, a program that gives free suits and dress clothes to men who are unemployed or underemployed.
I am also a self-taught bag designer located on the South Side of Chicago, originally hailing from St. Louis. My passion lies in ministry, teaching, and music. I also love creating products that allow individuals to feel confident and good about themselves.
Through helping men dress for success I realized how important clothing is. It can make someone living in poverty feel back human. As it did for me. I was the first client of Gentleman's Closet, so I know firsthand how looking good can make you feel good. But let's take things to a new level. Fashion can be used to elevate consciousness, raise awareness, and promote love! It's not only about looking good, but now let us spread good through every outlet we can. Together we can change the world!
To usher a new movement towards spiritual enlightenment through all forms of media, spreading love, and peace, while looking good doing it.
